Tours / Private guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery with express entrance

Choosing our private guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery you will save time with our pre-reserved tickets and thanks to your guide, you will see the most remarkable paintings which made the Uffizi one of the most important art museums in the world.

On a regular day, visiting the Uffizi museum on your own can be an exhausting experience!

That’s because the Uffizi is the most important and visited painting gallery in Italy, boasting incredible masterpieces by Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Botticelli, Raphael, Titian and many more. You could be lost in such a massive amount of artworks! I offer private guided tours of the Uffizi museum to help you to unveil the meaning of the main paintings, disclosing the artists’ secrets and painting techniques. Together we will make a real journey through the history of painting and it doesn’t matter if you are not familiar with it: I will guide you to grab the highlights of the Uffizi museum and to discover some of the most outstanding artists who made the world art history.

We will start our visit from the second floor admiring large colorful Madonnas painted by Giotto and other famous medieval artists.

We will follow a chronological order and meet Renaissance artists whose lives were no less remarkable than their paintings. One of them Filippo Lippi (a painter and a monk, married a nun, can you believe that?) became the teacher of Botticelli and taught him to portray incredibly feminine and refined ladies such as those that you will see in his Birth of Venus and in The Spring.  Leonardo da Vinci is present at the Uffizi with three paintings, one of which is considered as the very first he did in his career. Did you know that he was a contemporary of Michelangelo and that they even met in the streets of Florence? The latter didn’t like painting very much, however he left us one of the most fascinating works in the Uffizi Gallery, a portrayal of the Holy Family depicted with incredibly vibrant colors. After seeing masterpieces by Botticelli, Leonardo and Michelangelo, our journey in the art history won’t be complete without seeing the gentle Madonna and Child by Raphael, the seducing Venus of Urbino by Titian (the most favourite artists of emperors and princes ) and the grim Medusa by the troublemaker Caravaggio.

Are you afraid of standing in line for hours at the Uffizi?

Lines at the museum are notorious, but they shouldn’t dissuade you to visit this absolutely unmissable museum! Your tickets will be secured as soon as you book your private tour of the Uffizi in order to  provide you with a smooth and enjoyable visit. With our Uffizi tour, the only thing you have to be afraid of is suffering from the ‘Stendhal Syndrome’ when gazing at so much beauty! Believe it or not, this is an actual affliction said to affect those tourists with a sensitive and nervous nature. It’s named after the French author who was left dizzy, sick and overcome after visiting too much art and Renaissance architecture in 1817 Florence!

If you are planning to visit Florence in summer, join me on my special night tours of the Uffizi.

I have designed a two-hour night tour of the Uffizi Gallery to take advantage of the night opening of the museum and explore it without the touristy crowds of the day and in a relaxing, unique atmosphere. From the beginning of June to the end of September you can visit the Uffizi at night on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Our private tour will start when all the large groups of tourists have left and the sunset light creates an enchanting atmosphere in the museum corridors of the second floor overlooking the city.
